Surrey Event Hire was established in 2010 by school friends Matt Lockhart and Paul Rowbottom. Five years earlier they began their business career by starting up a marquee hire firm called ‘Monaco Marquees’. After 5 years Monaco was one of the most recognised marquee suppliers in Surrey and had accumulated a vast range of furniture and catering equipment stock to compliment the marquees.
Matt and Paul had a vision to create a second business which would be able to solely market the furniture and catering equipment used by the marquee business to customers who were looking to hire this only and not a marquee. Five years on; Surrey Event Hire now provides items for corporate and private customers all over Surrey, Sussex and London for a range of events.
The principles and values that made Monaco Marquees such a success have been transferred seamlessly across to this new venture which is making steady growth each year.
Surrey Event Hire is overseen by the newest member of staff; Megan Garraghan, who works in conjunction with the warehouse team and fleet of drivers to provide an outstanding service from start to finish. It is their hard work and dedication why customers return year after year.
